Overview
How sagging brows change your look
As the brows drop, the upper eyelids start to feel heavy, the arch flattens out, and forehead lines deepen from constantly lifting your brows to see clearly. People with low brows often hear that they look tired, sad, or angry when they feel perfectly fine.
Why brows descend
With age, the skin and supporting tissues of the forehead loosen, and gravity pulls the brows down, often most noticeably at the outer ends. Sun damage and genetics speed it up. Low brows are also easy to mistake for extra eyelid skin, which is why Dr. Kim looks at the brows and eyelids together.
Treatment options
Dr. Kim performs an endoscopic brow lift through small incisions hidden in the hairline, lifting and repositioning the brows and smoothing the forehead. Depending on your anatomy, a traditional brow lift or sub-brow excision may be a better fit. For mild heaviness, well-placed Botox can give a small, temporary lift.
Brow, eyelid, or both?
Some people need a brow lift, some need upper eyelid surgery, and plenty benefit from both. The goal is a rested, open look without the permanently surprised expression of an overdone brow lift.
Recommended Treatment
Endoscopic Brow Lift
A Forehead/Brow Lift is a procedure performed that corrects the sagging of one's forehead, their eyebrows and their upper eyelids. This surgical procedure improves signs of aging throughout the upper face and lifts the brow height simultaneously. With this procedure, you can once again possess a naturally youthful and softer image.
