Overview
What changes in the lips
Thin lips may lack fullness, a clear border, or a defined cupid's bow. With age, lips also flatten, lose their natural pout, and the corners can start to turn down. Fine vertical lines around the mouth are common too.
Why lips get thinner
Some people are simply born with thinner lips. For others, it's gradual: the body makes less collagen and hyaluronic acid, and the bone and tissue around the mouth change over time. Sun and smoking speed it up.
How lip filler is done here
CK Plastic Surgery uses hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvéderm and Belotero to add volume, sharpen the lip line, soften lines around the mouth, and even out asymmetry. The approach is intentionally conservative. The goal is lips that look like yours on a good day and stay in proportion with the rest of your face, not lips that walk into the room before you do.
What the appointment is like
Treatment takes about half an hour. Expect some swelling and possibly bruising for a few days. Results show right away and typically last several months to about a year, depending on the product and your body. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved if needed, which makes it a comfortable choice if it's your first time.
